XPS One 24 HELP

I have purchased an xps one 24 with all the goodies. I love the easy of hook up and looks of the unit. However, I can't keep it running! If left unattended for a few hours during the day or night it will go into sleep mode and nothing but a hard reboot can bring it out. All of the settings are on never go to sleep and I have been the phone at night with Dell support and even tried remote access with them to correct. Nothing seems to work. This is WAY to expensive of a machine to just sit on my desk and look pretty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There is a 21 day grace period (from date of invoice), you can ask for a New replacement or a full refund of your $$. They will usually suspend any fees if you are firm but nice in your request.

Well, No luck on a replacement. It appears I am outside the time window b a few days so we REINSTALLED the operating system again (3rd time). Of course it always wipes out all of my programs and I have to start over. Unfortunatly it seems to be getting worse. The unit now locks up completely after a very short time, or even on initial boot up. I am thinking about trying to download windows 7 trial version (I have ordered the upgrade already) and see if that helps.

When it locks up, what color are the top four media control buttons? Are there any beep codes?

Does the Restart, Press F12, Boot to Utility Partition work to bring up the Dell Diagnostics?

There is no sound when it happens. It either just locks solid or when it boots back up it appears like it is loading programs (rotating circle) but no response. It requires a hard shutdown to restart. Once in a while the entire screen goes to light gray.
